Course Descriptions
Technique is acquired by attending Wood and 84 Asanas practice every day of training. Wood classes will include the 30 and 60 minute strong classes and 30 minute restorative class.
Teaching Methodology is the study of the unique teaching techniques used to successfully guide students into postures. Using a variety of proprietary and stimulating exercises, you will quickly master the teaching dialogue, and you will study demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, qualities of a teacher, and the student's process of learning. Stressed are the WOOD Series' teaching scripts, used to effectively teach individuals or groups, with proper pacing for each posture, voice projection, articulation, student inspiration, when to use and how to make safe hands-on corrections, and how to maintain the energy of the group.
Advanced Anatomy includes a deeper study of physical anatomy and the physiology of stretching, taught in conjunction with courses on muscle testing and correction. Course work will include regular testing and a final exam.
PFY & Private Practice courses include Theory and Principles of Pain Free Yoga; Fitness Assessments; Muscle Testing Levels 1 & 2; Corrections Technique, Rebuilding The Body, Building the Relationship: How to Keep Both Progressing; Creating Private Classes; Selling and Promoting Your Skills; and Business Operations.
