So, I did an earth class last night, and when we got to the part where we were to do Crow, I thought, 'Oh great, here's where I sit and look like an idiot who can't do the pose.' But I decided to give it everything I had, and I was able to get in the pose and stay there for a couple seconds!
The last time I tried this, I kept falling, couldn't get up at all, and ended up crying in the final savasana from frustration. I still have a way to go, but I was pretty happy with myself. I will keep trying and hope that I can get stronger and have more success.
The instructor of the class, Stephanie, was wonderfully encouraging and I think that had a ton to do with it.

Amy, you are most definitely on your way with Crow. I am so glad you were able to get a little closer to your goal. I am also thrilled I could be there to see you get that shift in balance, thanks for the compliment too!

Happy Friday!

Congratulations Amy! I share your journey with crow as I have also come a long way with that posture. Continue working on it with patience and consistancy and you will be holding it for minutes. As for Stephanie, we went through training together and I agree that she is an amazing teacher.

Everyone falls out of crow - not just beginners either! As you progress in your practice and play with little adjustments (shifting eye gaze, engaging glutes etc) you'll fall out again and again. It's all good!
