Hi Lisa, i know exactly how you feel by saying that. I used to get frustrated to that kind of situation in class room when i was a student. Now i'm going through the intensive teacher training program, i learn a very different way to look at it. Every time the class starts, our teachers request us to adjust our mats so that everyone can see themselves in the mirrors. They want us to to look at ourselves in the mirrors to stay present in the class room, to move together as a group and to share the energy to one another. I love that experience of being able to observe the whole class moving together through every posture while still focusing on myself. That makes my experience of coming to class everyday just like new. That also makes me understand why our teachers always remind us "yoga is an consistent individual and group effort to make everyone's experience better".

I hope that my sharing could be helpful to you in some way. And maybe in your next class, you could find that adjusting your mat a little is just like to share your love and your great energy to the person behind you as a group. Enjoy your practice!
