Intro Series

If you’re new to yoga, or new to Sunstone Yoga, our Intro Series is the place to start. This two-class series welcomes you to our yoga, our teachers and our studios, and is part of our 10 days for $10 introductory offer. The Intro Series also provides opportunities for you to meet other new students – beginners who share your interest in the unique benefits of yoga. 

Our Intro Series Teachers are trained to provide you with a positive introduction from the minute you arrive for your first Intro Series class.

During your first Intro Series class:

  • You’ll be guided through our basic yoga postures with a focus on an introduction to our Standing Series. Since this is your first class, we’ve shortened this portion of the class to accommodate all fitness levels.
  • You’ll learn basic yoga etiquette. Designed to promote positive energy during the entire class, etiquette ensures you’ll get the full benefits of yoga – both physically and mentally.
  • You’ll receive a tour of the studio, which is an ideal time to ask questions and share your first impressions with your teacher.

During your second Intro Series class:

  • Your teacher will guide you through all Fire Series postures, expanding your introduction to yoga while limiting the number of repetitions.
  • As before, your teacher will be available to personally guide you through each yoga posture.
  • You’ll learn more about the unique rewards and programs we offer to encourage and motivate you, including our Focus Wristbands, 60-Day Yoga Challenge, and Get Paid To Do Yoga.

Concerned about the heat?

Acclimatizing your body to the hot room is important – that’s why our Intro Series classes include a gradual introduction. The higher temperatures offer several major benefits including detoxifying your body, elevating your heart rate for an improved workout, and warming your muscles to prevent injury. If you ever feel weak or dizzy during an Intro Series class, just let your teacher know. Usually, a short break is all you’ll need before you rejoin the class.

During your 10 days for $10 we encourage you to attend both Intro Series classes. If the schedules don’t work for your schedule, you can take the second class first.

Weekly schedules for Intro Series classes are posted at each Sunstone Yoga studio, and on our website. 

Practicing yoga is a truly holistic way to maintain optimum health. It will help you reduce stress, increase your strength, improve your flexibility, and help you maintain a healthy weight.
