Hi,
I've recently become enlightened that a 95-100% raw food diet is what I need to do for myself. It has been and is going to continue to be a lot of learning at first. Is there anybody here who has gone through the transition, or anyone interested in starting it for him/herself, with whom I might strike up a friendship and find a support system?

Any organic or native plant gardeners, please apply as well!

Thanks,

Lisa

Greetings Lisa:  I went the Raw Food route for awhile, along with several other nutritional programs, like fresh vegetable juices, Blood type diet, liquid minerals, to 7-day fasts with colonic cleanses each day.  I did the 7-day fast/cleanses every 2 months for 3 years.  Recently, my body is asking and getting cooked and heated food.  Also, I am back to eating fish, but I have not had meat, other than fish for five years now.  I am learning more about the benefits of following Ayurveda practices and I feel this is why my body is requesting warm food.  I guess my point is that I tried several things and learned to listen to what my body requested and needed.  My body has changed throughout the years and continues to change.  Continue your search for what your body needs, and I can certainly support a Raw Food approach - so give it a chance and see how your body responds.  All of my approaches were on my own, so I also recommend having a consultation with an Ayurvedic Professional as they may help you understand more what your body type is and what it may need.  I also believe in the Blood Type approach and which food groups certain people should and should not eat.  I am Blood Type A and this blood type tends to do better on a vegetarian style diet.  However, somone who is Blood Type O - would do better having red meat in their diet.  Hope this helps and you can always call me if you want to discuss further.  Randy Schriewer 972-408-6300
