I am graduating from UNT in August and would love to become a Sunstone yoga teacher! I have a few questions though....

1)Since I have to do summer school in the mornings can I start the weekend training in June and then switch to the 500hr intensive training in August once school is done?

2)Can you teach full time at Sunstone?

3)If not, what other jobs do Sunstone teachers do?

Thanks!

Em

Hi Emily,
Thank you for the Great questions! The 500 Hour Teacher Training Program with Sunstone Yoga is fantastic!
1) Yes, you can start as a weekend trainee at any time. In fact, the minute you enroll in the weekend program, your tuition includes a free year of Yoga! Most students don't know this. Your auto debit package will be wiped away. You may do the weekend program. If you miss a weekend here and there, that is ok, as long as you stay committed to the program. We will also allow you to participate in any of the Intensives. There will be an intensive beginning April 11, another one June 27 and then another beginning on September 26. We only ask that you are able to committ to a 14 hour day potentially, and do atleast 5 consecutive days. I will work with you on all of this.
2) There are a fantastic number of Sunstone Yoga studios opening throughout the DFW area and beyond. All of the locations are looking for wonderful part-time and full-time teachers. YOu have autonomy to teach where you would like, and you may teach as often as you like.
3) Several teachers hold other jobs, but with the new studios, new manager positions may come available. You will want to check with the individual franchisees after you start training to find out what opportunities are out-there. I can work with you on this, as well. Traveling Yogi Careers will also be available to qualified individuals. I will be happy to explain more about each opportunity during our first call. We also may be looking for staff asistance when we open out 8K square foot teacher training campus this Spring. Through the program, not only are you certifed at the highest level, but you are also trained on how to run the studio.

I would love to talk with you more about the program or anyone else reading the forum. I know there are always questions, and I am here to help so please feel free to reach me at 214-764-2119 ext. 1990 or submit the Teacher Training request form online and I will contact you.
I look forward to helping you get started!
Sincerely,

Peter Strickler
