Hello and Peace to all....

  Thank you for visiting the "Meet the Instructors" page.  We all work so very hard for you and love knowing that you are curious about who we are and where we come from.  I was born and raised in the Dallas area by Mike and Jean Bernard.  I am the youngest of 5 children and the only girl.  My brothers were quite rough so my Mother played it safe and put me in Martial Arts when I was 5 yrs. old.  I was teaching Karate by the time I was 14.  I Loved to coach!  I was very active in sports as well...Always All District...MVP...etc...  Volleyball and Soccer were my favorites!  I graduated High School and went off to College and in 1998 I graduated Honorably with a Degree in Criminal Justice.  I went to work as a Police Officer and worked in Law Enforcement for a while.  However, I soon realized I was to peaceful of a soul for that line of work.  Paramilitary and military organizations were just not for me.  I was injured at the Police Department and chose not to return.  I tried Yoga for the first time in '04 after my injury and LOVED it!  The yoga did A LOT more for me than I expected it would.  Not only did it heal my injury but it began to heal my mind.  I had suffered post traumatic stress disorder and generalized anxiety disorder from the injury...  However, I did not really get serious about Yoga until an old friend of mine introduced me to Sunstone in '07.   I was absolutely AMAZED at the Sunstone Team and their Instructors.  This was something I had to be a part of because of the Peaceful energy surrounding it.  The Healing nature of Sunstone became a part of me and I of it.   So, I found what it was I was looking for in my Life!  Sunstone was it!....Hook, line, and sinker!  I absolutely LOVE it!  I seek to share my LOVE of Yoga with others in hopes they will find that same STRENGTH, PEACE, and SERENITY I have found.  Yoga has given me a Beautiful mind, body, and Life Practice.  What, other than Yoga, can make you Happy and stronger at the same time?  I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you in the Yoga Room.  I am HONORED to be a guide for you in your journey with Yoga.  Thank you for being my Teacher... I am so grateful for you.  See you next Fire Class!
