Hello! I've been practicing yoga on and off for a little over 10 years, primarily vinyasa and Bikram. After having two kiddos (who are now 6 and 2), I decided it was time to get serious about my practice, which is when I started practicing at Sunstone, July 2008. I was hooked after my first class! The fitness type of yoga that we practice at Sunstone really resonates with me, and the benefits are HUGE.
Three months after beginning my practice, I entered the weekend teacher training program. It changed my life. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my job!! Having the opportunity to be part of such a positive and transformative aspect of people's lives is the coolest thing ever...and a real honor. Through my own practice, I find the balance and strength (mentally and physically) that helps to keep me centered and peaceful in the crazy world outside the yoga room.
I'm very passionate about wellness/holistic living, and all that includes. Yoga is a perfect fit! My husband has even begun his own practice and really enjoys it. He has affectionately named the Wood class "Butts and Guts" 
Outside the yoga room, my loves are spending time with my beautiful family, experimenting in the kitchen, reading non-fiction (fiction every once in a while) and blogs, and traveling.
I'm a HUGE believer in being your own advocate and thinking independently...always ask questions.
And remember MOVEMENT (whether it's backwards or forwards) is growth!!!
